The Biewer Yorkie originated in Germany in 1984 and was piebald
genetic recessive gene occurrence off spring produced by Gertrude and
Werner Biewer's Yorkshire Terriers.
The Biewer's saw the small dog with it's white markings as extraordinarily attractive and began breeding to produce more.The Biewer's named these dogs "Biewer Yorkshire a la Pom Pon" Thus the beginnings of the Biewer Yorkie we know today. |
